Golub Wins Photography Awards

Cleveland, Ohio, June 16, 2006 — Marc Golub, a Cleveland-based editorial and commercial photographer, won three awards in the Press Club of Cleveland’s Excellence in Journalism Awards competition. The awards were announced at the 2006 Excellence in Journalism Awards banquet, held June 16 at the Cleveland Marriott Hotel.

Winners of the annual competition were selected from among more than 1,100 entries from individuals and media outlets throughout the state of Ohio, including daily, weekly and alternative newspapers, radio and television newsrooms, general circulation magazines, business and trade publications and news-oriented web sites. Out-of-state Press Club members judged the competition.

Golub’s awards recognized photography shot on assignment for Crain’s Cleveland Business in 2005, as follows:

· “Wealth of Knowledge,” Second Place, General Photo, Single Image, Karen Thompson, director of Post-Secondary Education, Cleveland Public Schools

· “Who’s Who in Technology,” Second Place, General Photo, Multiple Images
